Choosing the right IBC Container
To ensure you can buy with confidence from us, we have provided the following guide for choosing a New, Reconditioned or Re-bottled IBC.
New IBC Containers for sale
Every aspect of these containers are brand new from our manufacturers and are manufactured using virgin materials, cage and components. They are manufactured using food grade polymer and are BPA free making them suitable for storing liquids for human and animal consumption including drinking water, milk, alcohol and oils alongside a vast variety of other pharmaceutical and food industry uses. They are supplied with a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bottle and fully galvanised outer cage.
Each IBC comes with a tamper evident seal on the outlet valve cap and a foil on the outlet itself to indicate that the bottle inside shall be unused and suitable for storing drinking water.
Re-bottled IBC Containers for sale
These containers are part new and part used. Re-bottled IBC Containers comprise of a good quality used cage, whilst the inner bottle is replaced with new virgin bottle and outlet valve, which is manufactured to the same standards as our new IBCs. This means that re-bottled IBC Containers are safe for the storage of food and drink and can be recommended for the storing of drinking water.
Used IBC Containers for sale
Reconditioned or used IBCs are containers which have been previously used and then professionally laundered ready for re-purposing. The reconditioning process involves cleaning the IBC in its entirety. This involves professionally cleaning the interior and exterior of both the inner bottle and steel frame. This is then followed by a leak inspection and a visual inspection. Our reconditioned IBCs have been cleaned to a high standard, we can guarantee what products were previously held in the containers and would recommend reconditioned FOOD GRADE IBCs for drinking water for human or animals consumption. Note that we do not sell any IBCs which have previously contained any hazardous materials.

At First Check Containers we’ve tried to make the delivery process as simple as possible. The delivery charge will be clearly added to your quotation so that you are fully informed before you commit to payment.
Delivery to most part of South Africa is 2-3 business days but you can also upgrade to Next Day or AM delivery if preferred. Delivery to other parts of South Africa can take up to 7 business days. We also deliver to most countries in the SADC region.

If you receive your delivery and for some reason you’re not entirely happy and wish to return it, please contact our Customer Support team via direct calls or WhatsApp on +27 72-225-0731 within 48 hours and they will issue you with a return document. All we ask is that you return the goods to us within 07 days of issuing the returns document and we’ll either refund or issue a replacement.
